AI lacks genuine understanding, relying on data patterns and statistical analyses. It excels in processing and synthesising information, aiding research, creativity, and problem-solving. While not truly intelligent, AI tools enhance human capabilities and open new avenues for innovation and learning.

Throughout the now several decades of its consulting activities nem has observed  that most business executive owners tend to subscribe to what it calls ‘The Nine Paradigms’ where they are very good at 3 business functions (e.g. usually the thing that the business does and this is why they initially started the business), average at 3 activities and poor at 3 business activities.  

The relationship between nem and the Pacific Islands stretches back almost 30 years involving almost every Pacific Island nation at some time. The initial involvement was through the Banking and Corporate Finance activities of its partners, however in 2011 this activity evolved into larger scale project coordination work, mainly in the fibre-optic submarine cable sector which, at the time, was gaining momentum as a core communication backbone for these remote nations. 

As someone passionate about harnessing technology to boost productivity, I’ve seen firsthand how AI can be a game-changer. It's not just a buzzword or a fancy tool; it's certainly not a silver bullet. However, in the right hands and with proper guidance, it can be the missing piece of the puzzle that helps managers and businesses succeed.
